The St Marie Scholarship Programme

The St Marie Scholarship has been developed by a past student, Ms Nicole St Marie JP, who completed studies in the Private Secretary’s Diploma and the Finance and Investment Programme at the Barbados Community College. The St Marie Scholarship will be made available in the second semester, for one First Year Student enrolled in the Division of Commerce with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00 or above at the end of the first semester.

 

Who is eligible to apply?

 

Applicants must be enrolled in any Division of Commerce programmes. To be considered for the scholarship the student must also meet these requirements:

 

  • First year student in the Division of Commerce with a minimum 80 percent attendance record
  • Minimum accumulated (Grade Point Average) GPA of 2.0
  • Between the ages of 16 and 20 by December 31.

 

Application Process

  1. Collect or download the scholarship application form. Be sure your application contains all information required. 
  2. In a maximum of 200 words, explain why you believe you are an excellent candidate for this scholarship.
  3. Return the completed scholarship application form to the Division of Commerce on or before Monday 23 March, 2020 in a sealed envelope marked The St Marie Scholarship.

The awardee will be presented with a cheque on March 31, 2020.
