Tutor II – Division of Science

This is a teaching position for a candidate with a demonstrated track record in the teaching of Chemistry.

 

Education:

  • A Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized University.
  • A Diploma/Degree in Education or the equivalent.

 

Experience:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience teaching Chemistry.
  • Experience of teaching or ability to teach Environmental Science would be an asset.

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts to a learning audience.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to teach environmental/Science would be an asset.

 

Duties:

  • Instruction and all other activities and mechanism related to effective teaching of chemistry.
  • Preparation of work plans.
  • Student records maintenance.
  • Advising Tutor I of changes and developments required in the teaching of chemistry.
  • Regular testing and assessment of students.
