The Barbados Community College invites applications for admission to the following online courses commencing on June 12, 2017.


CORE 100 English and Communication
This course explores the different forms of discourse and the distinctive techniques associated with each genre. Furthermore, students are afforded the opportunity to explore the relationship between standard English and non-standard English. The course highlights the socio-cultural influences on the communication process while underscoring the importance of context in word choice. Moreover, this course reinforces conventional rules governing clarity, organisation and conciseness to enrich written and verbal expression in all aspects of life.


CORE 102 Caribbean Politics and Society
Enhance your knowledge of political systems, structures and institutions of the Caribbean. Develop your skills to be become citizens capable of making socially, politically and economically informed choices.


CORE103 Practical Mathematics
This course is designed to assist students in understanding the basic mathematical concepts needed for success in the `Practical Mathematics’ Course. Each topic is set out in a step by step process to present concepts in a clear and precise method. At the end of the course students will gain an appreciation for mathematics as it relates to everyday living and will achieve success in basic numeracy skills.


MCOM209 Dramatic and Documentary Writing
Develop your research and scriptwriting skills and earn from your attention grabbing stories, informative and entertaining scripts for TV and film.


ARTH360 Survey of African Art Culture
Enrich your creativity and knowledge by exploring the culture of non- western art and learn about the political sphere, spiritual aspects of African art.

Registration Fee: $100 Non BCC Students Only
Cost Per Course:  $400.00

Fees are payable at the Accounts Department between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and are non-refundable after the second week of commencement of courses.
