The Barbados Community College, under the Human Resource Development Strategy (HRDS), will be conducting training for human resource practitioners over the next four (4) months. The programme will be competency-based with students being awarded a Caribbean Vocation Qualification (CVQ) from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Council.

The programme structure will enable human resource practitioners to design standards-based training in keeping with the relevant occupational standards required. The Level IV programme will outline strategies for preparing training proposals that are outcomes-based. In addition, the programme will provide practical/hands-on experience in outlining specific performance expectations, linking the performance expectations to the relevant standards, developing assessment keyed to training outcomes, and identifying training strategies that align standards, assessment and instruction/facilitation.
