The Curriculum Development Department - Developing a Blueprint for Teaching and Learning
The Barbados Community College can boast of a versatile, relevant and responsive approach to Curriculum Development. Under the direction of the Principal, Ms. Annette Alleyne, the Curriculum Development Department fulfils its mission: to develop a curriculum that serves as the “blueprint” for quality teaching and learning at the Barbados Community College. The current Curriculum Development Officers, Dr. Andrea Brathwaite, Mrs. Sasha Goodridge and Captain Dr. Dreana Marshall-Stuart work in this office with the Clerk/Typist, Mrs. Joyann Moore.
Services Delivered by this Department
The Curriculum Development Department provides the process-expertise to assist content experts in developing curricula in the College’s diverse academic departments. We also offer Train-the-Trainers’ workshops as part of BCC’s professional development activities. The College’s external stakeholders, locally and regionally, also benefit from the services of the Curriculum Development Department in terms of curriculum consultancies and related training.
