PREPARING FOR YOUR 2026-2027 BCC APPLICATION:

Here is important information before you complete the application process:

.Instructions to Applicants
1. Have all required documents on hand and saved before starting the application.
ALL qualifications must be certified/notarized and saved in a single document for uploading.
NB: All Barbadian applicants accepted to the BSc General Nursing programme will be required to sign a bond with the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
Required Documents
- Birth Certificate
- National ID card or biographical page of passport (Barbadians only)
- Passport (For persons born outside of Barbados)
- Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
- Legal affidavit or Deed Poll (if applicable)
- Qualifications (Certified/Notarised copies)
2. Persons taking exams in May/June 2026 must list all subjects and enter AW as the grade.
3. Complete the application form, check that all information is correct and submit.
4. Overseas applicants can pay using SurePay Online. (For location always select Barbados).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO NOTE
- Official Transcripts (must be sent directly from the granting institution) Please do not submit secondary school progress reports.
- Persons who have qualifications from overseas institutions should contact the Barbados Accreditation Council (BAC) at (246)-535-6740 or info @bac.gov.bb to have their certification evaluated as soon as the application has been completed
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAMMES
- · Social Work Programme - Personal Statement - (600 words) and two (2) written recommendations required.
- · Mass Communication and Media and Journalism programmes - Essay outlining your interest in the field (300-words) required.
- · Visual Arts and Architectural Studies programmes - portfolios are required to be submitted to the respective Divisions at the dates specified.
- · Game Art and Animation - Personal statement (1000 words) outlining interest in the programme and a portfolio are required. CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT PORTFOLIO
- ALL Nursing students will be required to sign a bond.

Your application is not finished until you have submitted it. You will receive an email IMMEDIATELY after submitting the application. Please check your email and follow the instructions given there.
PERSONS AWAITING EXAMINATION RESULTS
If you are awaiting results from examinations recently taken, you should submit the examination result slip(s) to the Student Affairs Office, Barbados Community College on the dates to be announced.
SUBMISSION OF OTHER REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Persons who have applied to Mass Communication or Social Work must submit their essays, recommendations and personal statements to the Student Affairs Office, Barbados Community College when payment is made.
CHANGE OF CHOICE
After submitting the application you will NOT be able to make any changes to the information online. DO NOT MAKE ANOTHER APPLICATION. If there is a need to make a change on your application, please VISIT THE STUDENT AFFAIRS OFFICE, Barbados Community College and complete a CHANGE OF CHOICE FORM.
