The Bachelor of Education in Technical and Vocational Education is a three (3) year Part Time Programme. It provides opportunities for the practicing or prospective teacher to reflect on and add to their knowledge, skills, and attitudes in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET). For those who are not teachers, the programme allows for building a body of knowledge in Tech/Voc.
The programme follows the Competency Based Education (CBE) model which ensures that graduates attain the intricate balance between theory and technical skills necessary for high-calibre practitioners.
The current two options are: Industrial Arts and Home Economics. The Degree programme is taught mainly by BCC faculty, however from time to time some courses are taught by faculty from the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology.
