The Principal is responsible for the academic and administrative functions of the College. In concert with the Executive Management Team, the Academic Board and the College Planning and Advisory Committee (CPAC); the Principal ensures that the various functions in terms of the vision, direction, priorities and the strategic plan are facilitated.
The Barbados Community College embraces practices and procedures that demonstrate service excellence and the maintenance of a student-centred environment. The Principal as leader of the institution, is committed to ensuring student accessibility, student success and the provision of a transformative educational or training experience.
In addition to the Principal, there is also a secretary in this office and the following Departments or Offices report directly to the Principal:
- Business Development Office;
- Curriculum Development Department;
- Industry Services Unit;
- Office of Research;
- Quality Assurance and Enhancement Unit.
