The Award of Excellence shall be granted to students in the Associate Degree (BCC) who:

1. Over 20 years of age but under 30 years of age on the date on which he/she completes the requirements of the Associate Degree;
2. Are not the holders of any higher degree or qualification;
3. Attains passes at Grade ‘A’ in both English and Communication and Caribbean Politics and Society; and
4. Attains a GPA of not less than 3.75.

Candidates for any of the awards must be citizens of Barbados, children of a citizen of Barbados, or children of any person who is ordinarily resident in Barbados and has been resident for a period of at least seven (7) years.
