The Barbados Scholarship shall be awarded to students in the Associate Degree (BCC) who must:
- Attain Grade ‘A’ in all courses in their main field of study
- Attain Grade ‘A’ in all courses in the two core subjects, English and Communication, and Caribbean Politics and Society
- Attain a GPA of 4.0 over no less than 72 credits overall, including no less than 60 credits in their main field of study;
General Criteria
Please also note the following:
- Students who repeat a UNIT or COURSE at CAPE, CXC Associate Degree, or BCC Associate Degree would not be eligible for the award of a Barbados Scholarship/Exhibition;
- Students must complete their programme in two years to qualify for either a Barbados Scholarship or Exhibition; and
- Students must not have attained the age of twenty (20) years at the time of the examination.
NOTES:
- Students who meet these criteria may be nominated by the Registry to the Ministry of Educational Transformation.
- Candidates for any of the awards must be citizens of Barbados, children of a citizen of Barbados, or children of any person who is ordinarily resident in Barbados and has been resident for a period of at least seven (7) years.
