Fanshawe College – Canada

CRITERIA

Open to first-year Business Studies students (must have a GPA of 3.0 and above);

The applicant’s passport must be valid until July of the following year or later.

Applicants must also submit a passport-sized photograph and a photocopy of the biographical information page of their passport with their application.

Applicants must submit a one-page typed Letter of Intent describing the nature of the studies to be undertaken and explaining the rationale for study in Canada. They must also indicate how the proposed programme of study will relate to their future career/country.

The selected students are hosted through either a homestay or at Fanshawe College’s Campus. This Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) scholarship takes place in Semester 1. Scholarship winners are awarded a sum of CAD $8,600.00 to cover airfare, accommodation, health insurance, and administrative fees during the students’ stay in Canada.

Students will cover their food, books, and any supplies needed.

The credits earned in Canada will be transferred to the students’ academic records at BCC.

Students with a GPA of less than 3.0 are not eligible for this scholarship

NB: Applicants are required to apply for extended studies to complete the Associate Degree programme.
