Scholarship Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Purpose/ Aim

  • For qualified male students pursuing their first degree.
  • Must plan to study at:
  • The University of the West Indies (UWI),
  • A British university, or
  • An approved Commonwealth university.
  • The intended field of study must be in a subject that the Trustees consider to fall within the category of Science.
  • Scholarship/Fund name appears to be the Collymore Scholarship Fund.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Scholarships are reserved for students:
  • Whose parents are natives of Barbados, or
  • Where at least one parent is a native of Barbados.
  • Awards will be granted after BCC Associate Degree results are released.
  • This allows applicants with provisional university acceptance to provide proof that they have met all conditions of their offer.
  • Applicants must have been studying at the college in Barbados for at least three (3) consecutive years immediately before applying.
  • Applicants must submit evidence that they have:
  • Been fully accepted to a university, or
  • Received provisional acceptance to a university.
  • The university acceptance must be for one of the approved courses of study.
  • The acceptance must be for entry at the start of the upcoming university academic year.

Application Process

Submit completed application forms and ALL supporting certified documents.

Documents must be submitted in hard copy (physical paper form).

Send them to The F.A.C. Collymore Scholarship Fund.

Address the package to the Honorary Secretary.

Key Dates

Application opens in February and deadlines usually late April of the awarding year.

Conditions of the Award

  • Scholarship renewal is not automatic.
  • Holders must submit annual evidence from their university.

They must show:

  • Satisfactory academic progress.
  • Satisfactory conduct/behaviour.
  • The evidence provided must satisfy the Trustees for the scholarship to continue.
