The Division of Health Sciences offers this innovative one-year programme that is intended to provide broad based training in Community Health/Mental Health Nursing for post registration nurses.
It is designed to prepare practitioners who are able to: Function effectively with families, communities and members of the primary health care team. Practice as Community Nurses who will be informed, critical thinkers and competent.
Students admitted to the programme are required to be registered nurses and midwives. Applicants for community mental training are required to be Registered Nurses and Registered Mental Health Nurses.
