The Liberal Arts Department of the Barbados Community College has revived the Creative Writing Course. The College strongly supports the view that every country needs its own literature that reflects the lived experiences of its citizens, and validates its

cultural norms and identity. The courses, which run for two (2) semesters, cater to beginner writers or those interested in becoming writers and the advanced writers who want to acquire more skills. Our list of instructors are academically qualified and successful practitioners in their particular genres. This is your opportunity to be creative; experience the satisfaction of producing your own works for publication and cinema.

Duration: 45 Hours (comprising three (3) hours per week for ten (10) weeks; with 15 additional workshop hours)

Application period: August 12 – 23, 2024

Cost: $750 per course per semester.

This course is broken down into four components that will stretch over 2 semesters.
