The minimum requirements for entry into the College are:
NB Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology are compulsory.
Four (4) CSEC General Certificates are required, including English, Mathematics, and a Science Subject.
NB English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Human & Social Biology are compulsory and one additional subject. (Physics or Integrated Science).
Three (3) passes at CSEC General Proficiency Level with Grade 1, 2, or 3 (from June 1998 only) and the Pre-Health Sciences Certificate.
Applicants must be a minimum of 17 years on admission.
Students who have been enrolled in another faculty may request a transfer into this programme, but should have demonstrated a satisfactory performance while in the institution. Students from other institutions are also eligible to apply.
NB English Language and two Science subjects are compulsory.
NB English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology or Human & Social Biology are compulsory.
Applicants must have attained their 17th birthday by December 30th of the year of entry.
Eligible applicants applying for the four-year programme must have a minimum of:
Five (5) passes inclusive of English Language, Mathematics and Biology or Human and Social Biology or Integrated Science or Chemistry at CSEC General Proficiency Level at Grade 1, 2, or 3 (from June 1998 only) OR
Five (5) passes inclusive of English Language Mathematics and Biology or Human and Social Biology or Integrated Science or Chemistry at GCE Ordinary Level at Grades A, B or C OR
Graduates of the Pre-Health Sciences programme – must gain a minimum of 60% in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology OR
Graduates of the Certificate in Nursing Assistant programme – must have English, Mathematics, either Biology, Human and Social Biology, Chemistry or Integrated Science in addition to the Nursing Assistant Certificate.

Admission is on a competitive basis and qualified applicants are invited to attend a selection interview.
Pharmacists holding a diploma/certificate/Associate Degree in Pharmacy may be eligible to join the degree programme.
Passes in four Caribbean Examination Council (CSEC) subjects at General Proficiency including English Language and Biology or Human and Social Biology. The Pre-Health Sciences Certificate is also accepted for consideration. For employment in the Public Sector of Barbados, a Light Goods Vehicle Licence or learner’s permit is required.

The requirements are passes in two (2) CSEC subjects at General Proficiency or equivalent level in English and one other subject (preferably a science subject)

General Nurse Certification (Associate Degree/Bachelors/certificate),A minimum of 2-3 years post-basic RN experienceExperience at a gerontological institution would be an asset.

Current registration to practice as a general nurse in Barbados.
Students admitted to the programme are required to be registered nurses and midwives. Applicants for community mental training are required to be Registered Nurses and Registered Mental Health Nurses.
